Spring Clean

At a recent Parish Council meeting it was decided that the parish could do with a bit of a Spring clean. This would start with a tidy up of the verge in front of the village hall and also involve a litter pick in and around Swaby and South Thoresby (April 22nd 6pm). Saturday saw a group of volunteers roll up their sleeves and give the verge in front of the village hall a much needed tidying. This involved cutting down a lot of the shrubs and bushes that had overgrown and giving the area a general clean. In addition to the members of the Parish Council there were Kate Mitchell, Dave Start & Ian Challis; much welcome refreshments were provided by Jane Challis. A big thank you to all who came and helped out.             The overgrown shrubs and bushes were cut down             Looking better already…             Cutting into more manageable sizes…             A job well done!…and a very welcome cuppa…   Village Litter Pick – Tuesday 22nd April 6pm Meeting points: Swaby – Village Hall, South Thoresby – Vine Inn. Litter pickers, high-vis jackets and refuse sacks will be provided. Please come along and help keep our villages looking neat and tidy. All ages...
